Professor Christopher Cannon Receives IDIES Seed Funding

The Department of English is pleased to announce Bloomberg Distinguished Professor Christopher Cannon’s proposal titled “The History of Meter and the History of English Grammar” in collaboration with Sayeed Choudhury and Mark Patton, is the recipient of the Spring 2019 Institute for Data Intensive Engineering and Sciences (IDIES) Seed Funding Initiative Award. The goal of this initiative is to provide seed funding for data-intensive computing projects that (a) will involve areas relevant to IDIES and JHU institutional research priorities; (b) are multidisciplinary; and (c) build ideas and teams with good prospects for successful proposals to attract external research support by leveraging IDIES intellectual and physical infrastructure.
