PhD Student Aditya Bahl Receives Mintz Fellowship Award

The Department of English is pleased to announce current third year graduate student Aditya Bahl has been awarded a Sidney Mintz Student Fellowship for summer field research.

Inaugurated by Prof. Mintz, who founded the Anthropology department at Johns Hopkins, the fellowship covers fieldwork expenses of up to $3,000. Priority is given to graduate students in Anthropology and History, however an exception was made for Aditya’s project “The Absent Archives: The Green Revolution and Peasant Revolts in Punjab, 1960s-70s.” The funds will allow him to continue doing the archival work that he had started last summer, and will contribute to one of his dissertation chapters.
