John Hoffmann

I work on German and Anglophone modernism. My research has been supported by grants from the Max Kade Center for Modern German Thought, the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst, and the Modernist Studies Association. As a Denis Curatorial Fellow for the Sheridan Libraries, I helped organize an exhibition of the world’s largest collection of literary forgeries, acquired by Hopkins in 2013. My article for the exhibition catalog, “Forged Identities: Race and Nationhood 1700-2000," led to my dissertation.
