For a long time I've been interested in the literature of the sublime in all its forms (see The End of the Line, 2nd (augmented) edition [Davies Group: 2009], and George Eliot's Pulse [Stanford UP, 2003]). More recently I've been teaching classes on urban literature and on the history of photography.
