Undergraduate Sabrina Li wins Senior Essay Prize

It is the English department’s pleasure to announce Sabrina Li has won the 2023 Senior Essay prize for her essay “Unstable Bodies, Unstable Texts.”

Made possible by a generous gift from an anonymous alumni donor, the award goes to a student whose essay is selected from among those nominated by members of the department faculty. To be eligible for the English Senior Essay Award, students must be seniors when the essay is written, regardless of their actual graduation date. These could be essays from Fall or Spring. Senior Essays, essays written either as part of a class, an independent study, or comparably substantial essays written for any upper-division seminar in the Department of English are eligible for nomination. This prize is awarded in the spring.

She will be honored at the English Department’s reception for graduating seniors on May 24 as well as recognized in the commencement program.

Please join the English department in congratulating Sabrina on this achievement.
