Students who wish to minor in English should discuss their intention with the department’s director of undergraduate studies, and inform the Office of Academic Advising. Complete Minor Requirements information is found on the academic catalog website.

Requirements

• AS.060.107 Introduction to Literary Study
• One course in pre-1800 literature*
• One course in global and minority literatures*
• Four additional English courses*

*At least two and no more than three of these must be lecture (200-level) courses. A maximum of one course offered by another department but cross-listed with English may be counted toward the English minor.

Courses for a minor must be taken for a grade, and a minimum grade of C- is required.
